Silver tarnishing while wearing

I have heard several people say, including a host and vendor on QVC, that silver jewelry does not tarnish while you are wearing it. Does anyone know if this is true and why? It is exposed to the oxygen while we are wearing it around, so I don't understand. Thanks for your responses!
