Help! Broken JRQ pierced earring post~ :(

While putting a favorite pair of Judith's earrings away in my jewelry chest this evening, one of the posts broke at the base. I've never had this happen before and was wondering if it could be repaired and, if so, is it necessary to send to the Q or to the Ripka organization for the repair? These earrings are retired and no longer available at the Q~ I'd be so disappointed if I could never wear them again.

If anyone could offer any advice, I surely would appreciate it.
