I recall when Mr Honora (don't remember his name) demonstrated his wonderful invention the Happy Face earring back that went with the TSV which I purchased mainly because of them. Well I was going home from Macys yesterday along 6th Ave. and stopping into all these bead stores there when I found one offering what they called "earring nuts" in silvertone or goldtone, a dozen to a bag costing $2.99. They were a smidge smaller than the HBs but work just the same way and even have a "smile" to them. If I'd done this a few weeks ago I would've returned the TSV as I find the 11mm still a bit too large for my lobes. So for all those who wanted the earring backs but not the pearl studs they are out there and probably available somewhere online.

I also bought a couple of irrgegular-shaped pearl drops and attached them to the ends of a Technibond chain I own to make a really pretty lariat. I find bead stores are such fun to browse.
