Just sent these pics to a friend who asked to see them, and I thought I would share them here as well. DH's hobby in the winter, when he doesn't have yard work to take up his spare time is to work with stained glass. He particularly enjoys making lamps and have done several of them. This is one of them. Whenever we feel that the lamp could use an additional touch, I will make a beaded fringe for it. Thousands of beads and much pain, but oh so worth it when we see the finished lamp. Notice that the glass we used to simulate the water has ripples in it, and the glass for the lily pads look like it has water droplets on it. It's very labor intensive work, but we love stained glass and are willing to put in the time and effort. (The second picture you are looking at the lamp from the top down. )
I try to post earlier, but the post disappeared. I am reposting, so hopefully the other one doesn't magically reappear. Please ignore it, if it does. I don't know how to track it down to cancel it !
