I was listening to Nate Berkus a few days ago and he recommends getting rid of fake plants for a more "organic" look to the home. I have several large silk plants that were rather expensive (for my budget). One is a 9' tree and another is a large fern.
I can grow plain old ivy, but since we travel so much, I don't want to return to dead plants. The truth is, I'm tired of these silk plants too. I use the hair dryer to dust the leaves, but don't enjoy this at all. On the positive side, they do give the livingroom a softer feel, and if I get rid of them, what do I replace them with? Anyone have any opinions on this?
