I don't like matching anything. I don't even have matching end tables. I have two different chests at each end of the sofa.

Luv2--I'm glad you ordered the lamp! Shades don't have to match, except when the bases are the same, like others have mentioned. And because your other lamp has a brown tweed shade (like this brown base) and this lamp has a black shade (like the bookcases and fireplace mantel) they bear some relationship to one another and the room, and should work beautifully! Enjoy!

In our home.....we have a mixture of Tiffany style lighting and regular lighting. My lamps that have identical bases......they have the same style, size and color of shade. My Tiffany style lighting is used as accents and eye candy.
