It seems that the hanging rack above the island is not as popular as it once was.

I have seen other options, for those who cook often and/or those who have a tiny kitchen.

On the wall behind the stove, as a "backsplash."

On an old ladder-

Inside of a pantry/closet, or wall recess-

Contemporary Kitchen by Jackson Interior Designers & Decorators Dwelling

Combination- wall hanging and baker's rack-

Recycled barn wood from Willum Wood and hand made rose nails by rlmartinmanor on EBay. Franciscan Pottery, Descoware, and Revereware display on shelves from World Market

Pegboard- everything in its place and a place (outline) for everything-

How do you display your pots and pans?

Re: Displaying Pots and Pans

I've always loved the look, associate some of it with antique kitchens (which I love)....

Hanging the pots and pans off an old ladder is really cool to me......  and I have an antique ladder!  Woman Wink

Thanks for the great idea!  Thinking, thinking.... Woman LOL

I don't display mine...I'm fortunate to have enough cabinet space to put them away.

Extras go inside cabinets in the garage.  Cast iron in the water heater closet in the garage!

Re: Displaying Pots and Pans

I had a hanging rack in our former house.  They're convenient things.

In this house, however, pots and pans are stored in cabinets.  The shelves all slide out, so now I have convenience without the clutter.

Strive for respect instead of attention. It lasts longer.

Re: Displaying Pots and Pans

If I were to display pots and pans they would have to be clean and new looking... and my maid would have to clean them...since I am the maid and I don't want another thing to dust and clean...it is out for me.

Maybe if I lived in a rustic country cabin hanging pots would be ok.

The copper pots hung in a very large kitchen look nice. You have to have the open space to do it.

Re: Displaying Pots and Pans

I don't care for having all my pans and pots out. Too much clutter. The pots hanging from the ceiling, I would be afraid they would fall down and hit my head.

Re: Displaying Pots and Pans

I only like to see the pots and pans displayed if they are in pristine condition, so that idea would not work in my house. Love all the suggestion though.
