Some of my houseplants have furry white dots on the leaves. What are they? What should I do?

Those are probably mealy bugs. You can take a q tip, dip it in rubbing alcohol and then touch the white fuzzy thing...it should melt on the spot.

The BEST thing to do is throw away all infected plants ASAP. They are tough to control, but if they are on plants you really like, you can try the alcohol thing...there are also chemicals you can use too.
