I am in zone 5. Some of my plants have done their flowering for the year. I have cut back my carnations. My salvia and delphiniums are pretty much done but there are still some green leaves. When should I cut back? Can I do it now without hurting the plant? Are there exceptions? I have alot to do come Fall to get the beds ready for winter so comments would be appreciated.
TIA. LM
