So, what if all clues indicate that I have a slacks and jacket style for work?

I went through my work wardrobe today and it's pretty clear that slacks and jackets are my style for work. I need to add some new jackets for fall and I'm wondering what's in for this coming year. Two years ago it seemed it was all about cropped jackets and last year, the boyfriend style... what's happening for this year? I'm not a slave to the trends, but I want to add a few updated things.
