SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, JULY 5)

Good morning, shopping friends. We do have rain in the forecast so I guess today's TSV is appropriate. Over 40,000 sets of 2 umbrellas have been ordered by 9:48am.  Hm-m-m! I have 2 of those collapsable umbrellas which can go in handbag. I usually have one in the car and one in my work bag.

I didn't buy anything during the clearance. I did notice that the Q offered a B Mak bag on sale. I have B Mak bags and they are good but we also know how long it has been since B Mak presented bags on the Q. Surely that bag could have been offered at a greater sale price.

Yesterday, I started adding exercise back into my routine. I can't do the walking type as it adds too much shock to my knees at this time, so I've been pedaling on my Flex Core. I know they said it would also do cardio in addition to ab exercises, etc., so I was surprised when my FitBit began to register me being in the cardio zone.

Tomorrow, I have two specialist appointments, as well as a planned luncheon with a cousin. Today, I plan to do a little decluttering and organizing.....but do I need that umbrella TSV?

Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely.

Good Morning Jean @KonaKat and thanks for getting us started this morning.  I'm back to work and boy am I tired, lol.  I ran and played with the kids for nearly 7 hours.  I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.

It was a perfect Independence Day - weather was divine, everyone was relaxed, food was delicious and Zoe and Fiona made my day.

Bernie--Great that you had a fun Independence Day. Getting back to work can be a challenge after such an active day.

I read the reviews on the TSV umbrella based upon those who had purchased it from the Insider. The reviews are mixed, so I  think I will pass.

I got an email from eBags, so I decided to check out the offerings. I haven't ordered for a long time so I guess they are trying to get me back. I did see a Lug bag that looked promising but it wasn't the size I wanted and the reviews talked about the magnetic closure section coming open. The warranty on the Lug bag was 30 days.

meallen--What a beautiful graphic! Thanks so much.

I got a total of 30 minutes of exercise in and will be heading for the Kindle to finish a book.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, JULY 5)

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Jean.  Glad you were able to get your cardio exercise in, and hope your sorting/organizing goes well today.

No rain in our forecast, unfortunately.  In fact, we have another "excessive heat warning" for tomorrow and Friday.  They said that this June had the highest average temperatures for our area, and I know it was quite hot (didn't cool down much at night.).  Hopefully, our summer thunderstorms (known as monsoons here) will start soon.  I know that I don't need the TSV umbrellas.  Not only don't we get that much rain compared to most places, but when we do it is usually extremely heavy and the rain comes in despite using an umbrella.  I had read the mixed reviews, and agree with you about the non-purchase.

They were really promoting a Lug bag on clearance yesterday, and they certainly made it look like a great purchase.  Fortunately, I held off since I already have one Lug, and another would need to be quite different -- perhaps more like a purse.

Sounds like you had a wonderful, if exhausting time yesterday, Bernie.  Hope work won't be too difficult today.  I found the Tuesday holiday very confusing -- keep thinking today is Monday rather than Wednesday.

Beautiful graphic, meallen.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Hoping to get my hair cut today, and I need to go to the UPS store to return a pair of sandals to Amazon.  They really hurt my feet just in a few minutes walking around the house.

DH was doing pretty well yesterday, and I will be visiting later today (depends on when I can get my hair cut).  I finally managed to do some house cleaning yesterday.

Hope everyone has a nice day!

Hugs,

Linda

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, JULY 5)

Good morning everyone --

Yesterday was wonderful, a fabulous fireworks display to end a great celebration!  Hope everyone enjoyed their Independence Day festivities.

@KonaKat  My DH went fishing for part of the day and ended up in a hail downpour.  He came home with a bunch of wild flowers for me, they are beautiful and smell lovely.  I know we don't need any umbrellas, so no pressure there.

My exercise schedule has taken a hit as I injured my shoulder and underarm.Smiley Sad  I try to exercise without any equipment, bands, etc., hoping it will heal and I can SLOWLY get back into my usual.  Right now the cardio part will have to do.

Just make sure you ease into it or yikes, you'll be copying my last paragraph on a future post.Woman Sad

Sounds like a busy day tomorrow, good luck with the appointments and enjoy your luncheon, fun.

@Bird mama  I can't imagine running with the youngsters for 7 hours.  How you were able to get up and go to work, is amazing for me.

It sounds like yesterday was absolutely marvelous for you, wonderful.

@meallen616  Thank you, just beautiful.

@LindaLatte  We have had a few 90+ days, I'm already tired of it.  We have at least the next 14 days with the same temps.  I don't like 80+ when I'm just rolling out of bed.  It will be a long July, if this keeps up.  Can't wait to see the electric bill, it will be walking in the house on its own.

Happy to hear your DH was doing well yesterday.  That surely puts a spring in your step.  Hopefully, he is good today also.

We need our place dusted in the worst way, but I hate to dust - we have the windows up as much as possible - and they are creating housing lots in the distance.  Everything has a layer of brown dirt on it - grrrrrr.

Have a wonderful day everyone.  Keep those CCs in check.  I have a grocery run in store for today, hopefully, I can have some control over my cards -- fingers crossed.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, JULY 5)

@3suwm5, I'm definitely keeping the CCs in control except for the co-pays to the two specialists tomorrow, and the one last Saturday. That is a total of $120 for the office visits with more to come. I'll take it easy on the exercise.

@LindaLatte,  Linda, I'm glad DH is doing better. The Lug bag I checked out was more of a travel purse. I imagine an umbrella is rarely needed for you. I can remember being caught in a rain at work without the umbrella so I darted to the car wearing a trash bag on my head.

Gourmet holiday is coming on. I don't need to watch that if I'm watching what I am eating. I do like the Junior's Cheesecake individual servings but I will pass this year.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, JULY 5)

Hi everyone - sounds like we're not doing too much shopping, which is good.

Not much going on around here but routine chores and paperwork.  Wanted to say "hi" though.  Hope those of you who are recovering from injured backs, wrists, etc. are getting better each day.  Also - sounds like those of you who got to spend time with family had great fun!  ~  Charlene
