This 16 year old girl from Minnesota made this dress after seeing the idea on Pinterest. Over 40 decks of cards, 5,000 staples, and 48 hours of work. 2,000 cards.
She won her county fair and is going to the MN State Fair. She is planning to wear the dress for Halloween.

She is talented. Winning could open doors for her.

Very talented girl, I bet we will be hearing about her creations in the future. What an engineering feat, I wonder if it could actually be worn without coming apart.

How cute and talented. Thanks for posting.
Remember a few years back someone wore a dress made of credit cards?

@OKPrincess: I was thinking of that too. This was the American Express Gold Card dress worn on the red carpet by Lizzy Gardiner in 1995.

This is so something I would wear at her age. It is adorable! But honestly I like the AMEX dress a lot better, I like the way it moves

@blackhole99. She's planning to wear it for Halloween. It's just stapled together so I hope nobody shows up with a magnet.

It's too bad she used staples rather than something more clever / interesting. But that would have taken much longer, I suppose.
