In Alaska 82% of villages are not road accessible. Mail and especially packages are loaded onto private planes to get to the villages. USPS pay $73 million each year to do this. Fed Ex and UPS give their packages to USPS for delivery. Now the USPS says either Alaska needs to pick up the tab or they need to raise rates to the villages. Most villagers are subsistence living and have very little money. What do you think of this?
