Writers of fiction - recommendations needed

I loved reading fiction books that I guess many describe as beach reads, but I'm not sure if this is an accurate description.

I love authors such as Maeve Binchy, Rosamunde Pilcher, Belva Plain, etc. I enjoy reading stories about women in all their stages and situations of their lives. They can have elements of sadness, comedy, suspense, a little romance - but no sm*ut.

Can you recommend some good authors and/or books? Thank you so much.
