and calming or even bring good memories to us.
I saw a poll of sounds most pleasant for people to hear,

So many for so many different reasons.  Babies laughing, cats purring, puppies trying to figure out how to growl ... or woo!  Night time nothing sounds.  My DD laughing at me because I'm a nut. My DH talking to me and me not hearing a dang thing he is saying.  LOL  I ike hearing it all because some in my family can't.

5. As Brii said in post #2, the sound of quiet.  That can be the best of all.
