Those of you who are knocking the snake might keep in mind that if it weren't for snakes like this, we would be overrun by rats!

I'm only knocking (figuratively and literally) BIG scary snakes in my yard.

I was basically speaking figuratively as well. I'm glad that we have a natural predator when it comes to rats, but I would be terrified if one of those snakes got near my little dog. And I wasn't really speaking just to you, just the collective 'you'.
