@SahmIam wrote:@tennpal15 Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Him, his actions, EVERYTHING about him and his wife. Shame on TODAY for capitalising on such a horrific situation. Makes me sick.
yeah ~ that interview was interesting.
and of course, since it's the middle of the night, he won't have to worry about running into any onlookers.

His so called shower, for people to use, was just a hose.
As far as his childen, they were taken away from him. His fil did an intervention ,because of the squalid conditions they were living in, and they weren't fed well.
He was dismayed that they got the kids back, because they were so unfit

Right, many who came there did not live there, Almena held events there.
Something like three were from other countries, others from SF and South SF, two or three students from Berkeley.
Embassies were notified of those from other countries.

Thanks for the article link, the San Jose Mercury News is a good newspaper and that's an informative article.

Said Allison (Almena's wife), who accompanied Almena to the “Today” interview: “We didn’t have enough money that needed to be done there, and there was nobody helping us in the ways that we needed.”

Say what? No one helping them? They were running an illegal business, not a charity.

It was a WAREHOUSE, NOT a place for people to live. Obviously, the drugs have messed up their brain. That statement ALONE should be enough for them to lose the kids PERMANENTLY. But we know they won't.
I just can't with these fools.

Horrendous, thankfully she had photos to prove her point.
And this:
"She paid $595 a month in rent, along with a security deposit of the same amount and a one-time payment of around $700 towards fixing the building up – work she says never happened."
Almena and his wife are thieves.

what a dump. I have to say, however, that toilet is remarkably clean. Really stands out.

Has anyone read anywhere how long this Almena character has inhabited this warehouse? Thank you
