Miami-Dade County students report Thursday, Aug. 17.

Broward County students report Monday, August 21.

 

Too early, too hot!

As most people on here have said, each district/state/area is different when it comes to the first and last days of school.  In NY, we have to have 180 days of school.  We start after Labor Day (teachers go in a few days earlier) and we all end during the third week of June.  I know other states begin in August (like yours) and end before Memorial Day.

 

Equal time for Bon-Bons.

Schools have ruined summer with having school in August. I wish they would go back to June-August off with school starting the first week in September.

I thought kids were out during August due to the hot summers and also due to a lack of air conditioning.
