I keep a supply of empty pill bottles with non-childproof lids for just this situation.  When I come across lids like the one you describe, I place the pills in one of my easy-to-open bottles.

@deepwaterdotter   I do the same ,  request non child proof lids from my pharmacy.  They have it noted on my chart on there computer .   I cannot open those darn child proof lids .  It's a big pet peeve of mine along with certain lids on things from the grocery store like those pull tops !

@CJC

Tell your pharmacy that if they won't provide non-child proof lids, you can't access your medication.

I would transfer my prescriptions to a pharmacy that cares about their customer's preferences and needs. Your present one doesn't.

If that's not an option, contact your insurance provider and your doctor about the pharmacy's refusal to provide cp lids and your problem opening the cp ones.
