I have been watching. We, the tax payers get to support him for life. Deportation is a question mark because of concern that he will be released from Brazilian prision after a certain amount of time. Too bad this "capture" did not end differently. Not a win for anyone at this point.

@chrystaltree The reports I've heard was that he crawled through the underbrush with his rifle under him trying to get away. They set the dog on him, and the dog evidently bit him.

The heat signature from the DEA aircraft found him. Why they didn't use that technology at the beginning of the search is beyond me. This could have ended a lot sooner had they used infrared technology. Their search tactics needs much improving.
