Re: Busy week - what did you accomplish this week?

Finished my Christmas shopping online, and finally got to see my orthopedic surgeon 4 months after injuring my knee.

Re: Busy week - what did you accomplish this week?

Went through all my Christmas decorating storage containers and took a load of what I decided to part with to a local charity thrift shop. Put out my Christmas decorations. I have no trouble filling my days with things that need to be done. I've said many times since I retired, don't know how I ever had time to work! OP, you deserve a weekend of rest.

Re: Busy week - what did you accomplish this week?

Let's see. I finished our Christmas cards. They're ready to mail. I wrapped a few gifts. I bought the preliminary stuff for Thanksgiving lunch. I wandered through Target "just for fun" and spent $153.

I took something back to Talbots and swore I wasn't going to buy anything and came home with a new sweater.

Today i ordered a pair of snoes from Zappos. See a pattern here?

I have our out of town Christmas boxes ready to go and will mail them Monday. Time for them to leave our house.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Busy week - what did you accomplish this week?

I volunteered in local food bank warehouse Monday.

Took a trunk load to Goodwill.

Went to a craft show at Echo Falls Country Club.

Yoga class on Wed.

Library, Costco after.

Company for dinner in evening.

Worked in yard a little.  Cut down peonies and hostas.

Went to movie and out to lunch after.

Made homemade chicken stock.

Planted 100 daffodils.

Reading a really good book.

Love retirement!!

Was the Echo Falls craft show interesting?  I wish I'd known about it.

I repainted the entire house inside and out, cleaned the carpet, washed and rehung the curtains, did all the laundry.  Then I woke up!Smiley Happy

@tansy

A group named the Starving Housewives puts it on every year.  It is not large but worth going to.  Some of the prices are amazing.  They also put one on in Bothell every year but I think that is more fall decorations than holiday.  They have a website you can check.

@Kindaglitzy - I ask myself the same thing - how did I get all of this done when I was working full time?  Obviously the answer is - I wasn't!
