I never ceases to amaze me how many cry and scream for cuts, cuts, cuts - until those cuts impact their own lives. Then they scream that they are not getting the level of or quantity of the services they expect. Can't have it both ways!
If we could make cuts where they are really needed we would be better off.
But who decides "where they are really needed?"
It's the powerful lobbies, the PACs, the special interests that push for $$ for THEIR districts, projects, services, budgets.
The politicians who control the purse strings and decide where the money goes, no matter where they come from, will always try to funnel more into what THEY decide is really needed.
"NEED" is not really based on true needs...it's based on wants of the powerful.
Welfare needs an over haul and the freebies we are giving to illegals is appalling.
If you earn $50,000 per year, you pay $52 for SNAP (food stamps) and welfare for the poor and you pay $4,000 for corporate welfare. Let's start with cutting corporate welfare and corporate farm welfare.

Oil subsidies have been cut and renewable energy receives more per unit than fossil energies do. Oil subsidies are for the consumer, not the producer. That is why we don't pay between $7-10 per gallon like most of Europe does.

Its not true but even if it was who cares? lol. We are lucky if we get 200 bucks. We cant go the long way anymore since our house is almost paid off and our interest is low (and we even have charity donations we give to all year).
I get money monthly from my old job so its taxable thus it heavily affects our refund.
And I have to laugh, I already paid tax on my money when I worked. So I never get why I have to pay it again but it counts as income.
Such is life in the good ole USA.

I truly believe the OP believed it until she was informed by another poster that the site she was quoting was not a legit site and more satire.
I think the entire IRS system needs to be overhauled and the first to go is the write offs for corps..and then the Earned Income Credit.

I did see something that said refunds would be delayed but I did not read it as they say this every year.

I thought, from what I heard, it has to do with people signed up with new federal health care program. Their 2014 tax return gross wages do not state the same amount that was stated on the sign up.

Congress cut their budget almost a billion dollars' They don't care if refunds come out on time - they never get them, they set up their taxes so they owe in April, not get their own money back.
