So does taking restrictions off of Wall Street and thinking they will police themselves.

Absolutely. Fasten your seat belts folks it is going to be a rocky ride for the next several years. I am so glad I and my DH are out of the workplace world, and don't have to worry about things like interest rates etc. because at our age it is not wise to carry any debt.

Nothing new here. When it ain't their money do they really care? Once they get their jobs they seem to forget about those that got them there.

tansy - YES they do!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

I never ceases to amaze me how many cry and scream for cuts, cuts, cuts - until those cuts impact their own lives. Then they scream that they are not getting the level of or quantity of the services they expect. Can't have it both ways!

If we could make cuts where they are really needed we would be better off.

But who decides "where they are really needed?"

It's the powerful lobbies, the PACs, the special interests that push for $$ for THEIR districts, projects, services, budgets.

The politicians who control the purse strings and decide where the money goes, no matter where they come from, will always try to funnel more into what THEY decide is really needed.

"NEED" is not really based on true needs...it's based on wants of the powerful.

Welfare needs an over haul and the freebies we are giving to illegals is appalling.

Don't worry, be Happy!

What cuts? There was only a decrease in the increase, and the IRS had enough $ for lots of hefty bonuses. Absolutely no "austerity" measures have been taken so far.

Universal Masking in Hospitals in the Covid-19 Era

“We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection.

What's a refund? I haven't seen one in the last 20 years.

Which is good since you're not lending the government interest free money.
