OT vanishing twin syndrome

Has any one been pregnant with twins to have one die a few weeks later? My daughter was pregnant with twins. She had her first ultrasound at 6 weeks and the babies were doing well. Today at 10 weeks had her second ultrasound to find out one had died 3 weeks ago. Has anyone had experience with this. I'm asking for prayers for her and her husband and the remaining baby. Thank-you. J
