O/T Need Advice for Head Bands ????

I have had this problem for sometime and hope you all can help. Thanks in advice.

O.K. here goes.

When I purchase brand new hair/head bands, made of plastic, they are tight and really do the job & stay in place. After awhile they loosen up and doesn't hold my hair as well as when new. Any tricks or tips to get them back to the way they were when new? Appreciate it.
