Josie Maran lip gloss question

I love the Josie Maran lip gloss in the color "Precious!" Love the taste and what it does for my lips! The first one I bought came with a "doe foot" applicator, which I like much better than the second one purchased. It came with a brush applicator. Does anyone know why there is this difference? Or how I can make sure I'm purchasing one with a doe foot applicator... thanks!
