I Need Help with LG's Eye Rimz

I purchased Laura Geller's Eye Rimz and brush in the green shade. I am having a hard time with the application and need some suggestions. When I wet the brush and run it lightly throught the Eye Rimz, then apply it to my eyelid, I get product falling onto my cheeks. I had to totally redo my make-up this morning because of this. Am I not wetting the brush enough? What the heck am I doing wrong. This product gets rave reviews, and then there's me! I'd really want to like this product, but I almost tossed it into the garbage due to frustration. Any suggestions for how to apply this and not get the fall out on the cheeks? TIA
