Gel Manicure for Vacation - Any tips?

Interested in your opinions as to whether I should go through with one of these. I have natural nails and truthfully, I am a little nervous about damaging them. That's why I am consulting your expertise.

I figure you can tell me what I should get, if any. Also tips for safe removal or maybe drugstore options to consider.
