Best gel top coat to use over regular polish?

I treated my mom to a Shellac manicure and she loved it. She liked the shiny finish of the gel polish but doesn't want to go through the whole process. I told her I'd ask on here if you can you put a gel top coat over regular polish so I can get it for her along with the right curing light to do it at home. If so, which gel top coat have you found to be the best for this? My mom and I thank you all!
