JustJazzMom - please let us know your review of Spectre - dying to see it but probably will not get there for another week.

getting cold here too but it was 71 degrees at noon.  We had our annual Altered Books exhibition and auction today at one of our local art galleries.  They are really great to see - amazing what people make from old books.   I bid on one book will not know for another couple of hours if I got it or not.

Oh yes we went out to breakfast and Inhad a bagel Benedict / to die for -  choice of toasted bagel with egg then either ham , bacon or sausage then choice of cheese then choice of sauce - I ate the whole thing with a side of hashbrowns.  Filled me for the day.  This cafe is owned by 2 local housewives and they cook so well and it is very popular - only open Fri, Sat and Sun.

Hope everyone having pleasant weekend.

Unfortunately we will have to table seeing Spectre because the times we wanted and the location in the theater were sold out or not available. Looks like Monday PM we will see it, as middle son is coming by in the PM tomorrow to help me clean the gutters prior the weather changing to colder here.

Brrr!! it's chilly outside even with my moto jacket on!! We tried to go see Spectre but it was sold out for desirable seating for two times so we ended up in our local Starbucks having a nice venti decaf cappuchino for DH and a tall cafe mocha for me. The gingerbread slice was pretty good!!

And I only saw one squatter there with his laptop and cable! Woman Wink

Re: Can We Talk?

[ Edited ]

Good afternoon all!!

Middle son just finished with me clearing our gutters prior the winter!! We do this twice/year here. We filled up 3 grocery store plastic bags with pine needles!! Figures since they were all over our lawn with the last 2 wind/rain storms we had.

Now I feel a whole lot better about winter coming and we did this w/o freezing our butts off today!

As a thank you I am making Parmesan herbed chicken Perfect Portions breasts and Uncle Ben's chicken flavored rice with a salad!

When I was postioning my car on the driveway yesterday to accommodate the ladder with our DS, I noticed the ignition didn't catch immediately. I thought, 'something's up with that.' Later on when we went to take him to the train station, I went to use my car to get some groceries and the car wouldn't start-- the ignition just clicked and lights flickered.

AAA came and jumpstarted the car and said the car would need a charge up and a retest. So DH and I dropped the car off at our local mechanic which is also the AAA station too last night.

This AM I got told we need a new battery for my car-- its the original so I am not surprised by this. The car is now ready for pick up.

Jazzmom, thank goodness for Triple AAA. I hate to be stranded.

Where is everyone? Where is @NoelSeven? Did she ever tell us what the specialist said about her finger?

I hope everybody is OK and getting better.

Here's a little something that might help lighten the mood.

Do you know what my little dog loves almost as much as she loves me?

OK, guess. . . .  I'll give you a few more seconds . . .

Spoiler

You're right, it's food.  But not just any food.  It's CHICKEN!!

And even more than CHICKEN!! is the anticipation of CHICKEN!!

(You'll note I'm putting CHICKEN into caps because that is absolutely how she thinks about it.)

What she really loves is when I come home with a pre-cooked chicken, all warm and smelling delicious.  And I've started to lift her up so she can peer into the trunk of the car where the CHICKEN!! sits just tantalizing her.  Then she knows for sure what's going to be in her little blue food dish before too long.  CHICKEN!!  Tah dah!

(I used to pick up my cat to show her what was in the trunk, too.  She never got this excited.)
