Hi everyone! Just had to share that I am currently using a few of the cc's to see which ones work well with my hair. This weekend, I tried the Tea Tree. I really like it! I was a little nervous because I thought the smell would be terrible, but it wasn't bad at all. And once it was rinsed out, I couldn't really smell it anymore. I used it for both cleanses. I have curly hair, and it made the ringlets really stand out. I am hoping that using the Tea Tree will help thicken my hair up a bit too after using it for a while. I highly recommend the Tea Tree cc to anyone who is on the fence, especially about the smell.

Oh, and PS - for those curly hair girls who are experiencing frizz, please try adjusting the amount of styling cream you use. I found that the 1/2 pump recommended on the bottle just didn't work for me. 2 pumps really do the trick and make my curls really come out.

Yay!! Yes, the smell of tea tree grows on you. I used to hate the smell of the tea tree oil, but now I actually think it smells kinda good. The cc just leaves my hair smelling kind of minty when it's dry.

Arianny, lol, it's kind of like the "bark" of TT is worse than it's "bite".

I'm so glad that the TT smell wasn't that bad and that you noticed that it went away once you washed it out. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

It sounds like TT was wonderful for your hair. I'm so glad. It seems to work so well for so many people with different hair needs. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

TT won't actually make the strands of your hair thicker. Over time what will happen is:

* the anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and emulsifying properties of tea tree oil will keep you scalp healthier. This seems to encourage more rapid hair growth.

* the formulas which Chaz uses for his CCs keep the hair strands healthier. The result is less breakage. So as your new Wen hair grows grows out, over time, you will find that your hair is as thick at the ends as it is at the root of your scalp.

Arianny, congrats on your wonderful Wen hair!!!

Thanks for your responses bebe and Hilary! I am really enjoying this figuring out process and testing all of the cc's. How long have you both used WEN, and do you notice a big difference in your hair from when you were using regular shampoo?

I've used as many as 6 pumps of the styling cream and still got frizz. Smiley Sad Not everything works for everyone and I'm much better off without the styling cream.

I'm glad you like Tea Tree. I use Tea Tree on my scalp and Fig on the length of my hair and for my second cleanse and really like that combination. You should give the Tea Tree oil a try, too. I use it on my scalp, hair, and face.

I'm not bebe or Hilary Smiley Happy but I will answer. I've been using WEN since last Oct/Nov. I started out with hair that was in pretty good condition--but my hair now is fantastic. It looks terrific, holds my color much longer than it used to, and I am shedding a lot less. People remark on how healthy it is all the time--in fact, my DH has been so impressed that he encouraged me to buy the brushes and a couple of the other products. WEN is good stuff! I do think you have to be willing to take the time and go to the expense of trying different formulas to get the right ones for your hair. I realize not everyone can or wants to do that.

Right now I'm using mainly TT, Fig, and 613. (I also have a bunch of seasonals that I rotate in at times, but other than FAS, I seem to get the best results from the cores.) I have also been using the SOB oil, which smells DIVINE. I hope to finally purchase the TT oil during Chaz's next visit. Smiley Happy

Arianny, I have been using Wen for almost two years. I tried it several years ago and didn't like it because I didn't use it correctly. I only did one cleanse and didn't rinse all of the product out of my hair which made it very greasy. I tried it again about two years ago and have never looked back. I started out doing a single cleanse with about 22 pumps of lavender on my chin length hair. I made sure to add the splash of water to get a good froth going. I also made sure to rinse it very well. I liked the results better, but it still was not quite right. It was too much product. It made my hair really frizzy and poofy. Another Wenner at Chazdean.com told me to try using less. I tried doing a single cleanse with about 12-14 pumps. My results were a lot better. Later, I learned about doing a double cleanse. I tried using about 7-8 pumps for each cleanse. My results were even better. Then I added the styling creme. It was even better. I am still experimenting every day. My hair gets better with the more I learn about this product. Before Wen, I had okay hair, but it was dry and I had split ends from highlighting my hair. Now, using Wen, I never get split ends and my hair has so much more bounce. I never have a bad hair day. There is no guessing about what my hair is going to look like. It always looks great. My scalp doesn't get i tchy as much and I hardly ever shed hair all over my clothes, etc. I do shed about 10-15 hairs in the shower each time I cleanse. My color is so much richer. I never get static in my hair and it is so much more manageable. Even on my worst Wen hair day, it is still better than my best shampoo hair day. I love Wen and will never go back to shampoo. I hope this helps. There is a learning curve, so I always tell people to experiment and try different things until you get the results you are looking for. It does take a little bit to get the hang of it, but once you do, it is so Wenderful!!!!

I am so happy you like TT! It's one of my staples.

You have to try the TT Treatment Oil, especially if your goal is thicker hair.

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.

LOVE TT. I started using it a year ago as a first cleanse.

For 6 years I was a Fig girl ( very curly hair ) & about 3 years ago added 613 to my Fig routine. Thought this combo was perfect. But last June, during the gallon days, Lisa was going on & on about the benefits of TT so I took the bait & bought it. WOW!

My hair seems thicker & has a ton of bounce after 9 months of TT as a first cleanse ( 3 x a week cleansings for me ).

Arianny, you are most welcome. Thank you for your kind words. You're asking a lot of questions which is great. I can see you absorbing all this information and setting up your Wen 1.0 routine. It will change... it always does. Smile

I've been using Wen since I finally broke down and bought the December 2010 TSV. I had probably been watching Chaz's shows off and on for 3-4 years before that. Back in maybe 2006, I was watching QVC and I decided to go with either Wen or Ojon. After watching many shows, I finally went with Ojon because I just couldn't quite understand this cleansing conditioner concept. So I just stayed with what I knew. Ojon was so much better than anything else I had ever used that it took me another 3-4 years to try out Wen. I just knew I was going to return it... but I never did. *s*

While there was a learning curve with Wen, from my very first cleanse Wen kicked Ojon's tail. I knew I was never going back. After my very first Wen cleanse, I has soft and luxurious hair. I couldn't stop running my fingers through my hair for 3-4 months. Really!! Two years later I gave all my Ojon products to a good friend who loves Ojon. And I gave the rest of my shampoo to my mom who thought she had hit the jackpot. They were happy, and I was happy. Everyone was happy. *s*

Once I started using Wen, my biggest dilemma was how little CC to use. I have thin/fine shoulder length hair and my very first cleanse took a solid 10 minutes to rinse out. Over a period of 3-4 months I slowly reduced the number of pumps I used (from a 16 oz. bottle). I actually found that I could "get by" with 2 pumps for a quick cleanse but, generally, I use between 5-9 total pumps for cleansing (split between two cleanses -- rinse & repeat). I'm not going to recommend that for everyone, but a number of people who have thin/fine hair do use a lot less CC. -- As I've mentioned before... the rule is that there are no hard and fast rules. Smile

Below are some of the results I saw once I stopped using shampoo and started using Wen:

* no more split ends -- none!

* no static electricity hair

* really reduced flyaways

* reduced frizz

* healthy hair with body, shine and lustre -- literally, for the first four months after using Wen, I couldn't stop touching my hair.

* my scalp is healthy -- it even feels healthy

* the hair at the base of my scalp now has natural lift to it (even if I'm only using the CC, and not the SC or the mousse)

* the thickness of the end of my hair is almost the same as the thickness at the scalp

* my hair always grew at a snails pace, and now it is growing over 1 inch per month.

* my scalp used to become a greasy oil slick within 18 hours of cleansing. These days I can go 3-4 days between cleanses.

* my hair color went from a mousy light brown to a deep chestnut darker brown (like the former Wen model, Anna Fox). The change was so evident that people regularly commented on it. It looked as though I had bleached my hair and was growing the damaged hair out. I don't use any chemical processes on my hair and I never blow dry it... though, occasionally, I will dry it in front of a portable fan. *s*

About a year and a half after switching to Wen, I had to go back to using Ojon for close to a year due to three consecutive surgeries. I couldn't use Wen because its essential oils could play havoc with my healing incisions.

I went back to using Ojon and my hair reverted to its pre-Wen state: split ends, frizzies, oily scalp, bleached-look & dry hair, etc. -- That said, I was mending from multiple surgeries so I had other more pressing concerns... still, I was really unhappy about the unhealthy state of my hair.

Once I was was given the go ahead to use Wen again, my hair bounced back into shape. It took over a year for the last of the redamaged hair to grow out, but these days I have a full and healthy head of Wen hair.

It's been smooth sailing since then!!!

P.S. Arianny, I'm going to set up a new thread on this topic and repost this post. -- I think it would make a great topic for a thread. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}
