What Wen products do you use & which are your favorites?

Since Chaz & Wen will be on QVC all day saturday, I thought now was the perfect time to ask what everyone's favorite Wen products are.

Below I've listed the Wen products I use ranked in order of which are my favorites:

* Cleansing Conditioner (CC) -- Though I use a number of the CCs, TT and 613 are my "go to" CCs. The TT keeps my scalp healthy, normalizes my very oily scalp and encourages more rapid hair growth. 613 which Chaz describes as "Wen on steroids" has the most amino acids and this helps strengthen my thin/fine hair (if you already have a healthy head of hair or you have coarse hair, then you may want to stay away from 613 because too much amino acid content can cause hair breakage). I rotate all the Seasonals in regularly because they also have amino acids added to them.

* jojoba & tea tree oils blend -- for twice-a-week overnight scalp treatments (though I make my own jojoba/tea tree blend using 95% jojoba oil to 5% tea tree oil). Jojoba oil & tea tree oils are the two top scalp emulsifying agents. They allow any excess dried sebum oil (the skin's natural oil) and other grit to liquify so that it can be washed out of the scalp the next morning. This allows the hair follicles to breathe more easily which, in turn, encourages more rapid hair growth. -- It has also helped normalize my previously very oily scalp.

* remoist -- for weekly overnight hair treatments (though I alternate it with 100% Ojon oil). It just makes my hair look healthier. As I mentioned, I alternate it with Ojon oil because Ojon oil actually penetrates the hair shaft which I think gives the hair shaft extra flexibility (less hair snapping). I don't know if any of the remoist ingredients penetrate the hair shaft. In either case, these protective oils seem to wash off after a few cleanses, so you have to use them on a regular basis to keep seeing the results.

* 613 mousse -- because of its smart-hold technology which is the only thing that has ever worked on "second day hair" (or even third hair day) for me. Unlike the other Wen mousses, it has a brand new ingredient which provides extra shine. -- The Relpenishing Treatment Mist (RTM) is supposed to refresh second day hair but, from what I've read, I think it works best for thicker hair. The mousse has been a game changer for second day volume for my thin/fine hair.

* 613 styling creme (SC) -- keeps moisture in and tames my frizzies a bit. Unlike the other Wen SCs, it has a brand new ingredient which provides extra shine.

I try to keep my hair routine simple, so these are the only products I use. Chaz has created a number of hair products because people have asked him for special niche products. But he doesn't expect people to use all the products in his line... just the products that work for them.

Happy Wenning!!!

I use all of the products and like them, but at the end of the day, if I used nothing else but the Fig cleansing conditioner, my hair would look amazing. All of the other products are icing on the cake. fig cleansing conditioner is my holy grail product.

Cleansing Conditioner - I need Fig for moisture. I often mix it with Tea Tree or use it as a second cleanse with Tea Tree as my first. I also love the seasonals for the variety.

Intensive Oils - I have many seasonals, but my favorites are the Tea Tree and the Sweet Almond Mint. Tree Tree I mostly use on my face and hair. Sweet Almond Mint I love to mix into my body lotion, use alone on my skin, or use on my hair. When I had a cold, I mixed Tea Tree (which has eucalyptus) and Sweet Almond Mint and massaged into my forehead, temples, and my cheeks under my eyes. It was like a mild Vicks treatment and I knew it wouldn't clog my pores.

Remoist - Sweet Almond Mint is my favorite scent, so I use that.

Replenishing Treatment Mist - I have several of the seasonals. I keep Summer Mango Coconut, Sweet Almond Mint, and Winter Vanilla Mint in my fridge. In the summer it gets really hot here and when I come home from the 100+ degree heat, I go right to the fridge and grab a mist to spray all over my face, chest, back of my neck, shoulders, and the small of my back. The Sweet Almond Mint is my favorite for this because the mint makes it extra refreshing.

None of the styling products really worked well to combat the frizz in my hair, so I don't use any WEN styling products.

When you say "100% Ojon Oil" do you mean Batana Oil (Elaesis Oleifera /Palm Kernal Oil)? Ojon is a brand name, not the actual oil and Ojon products aren't 100% anything, so I want to make sure before I go out and look for it.

Re: What Wen products do you use & which are your favorites?

Although I use quite.a variety of the CC's my go to's have become TT for scalp, SAM (my hair loves it) and 613. I try to do a rotation of oils but my favorite are WVM and POM. Since it's inception I've been using the 613 SC and cannot be without the POM glossing serum. Remoist is currently TT which I've used for years but planning to purchase POM. I love ALL the RTM's have them in every scent and I cannot pick a favorite but the most used is the TT as I start/finish my days with it. I'm stuck on POM BCC/BL, I have other scents in my stash but haven't opened them as I LoVE POM so much!

Re: What Wen products do you use & which are your favorites?

CC: Fig is my fave, followed closely by TT and 613. I don't like any of the other core formulas. On the seasonals side, FAS was the best formula for me. WCM was very drying. Spring Gardenia seems to work fine but my hair seems to get oily-looking faster--like next-day faster. So, I don't think it's as heavy-duty as some of the other formulas.

SC: I have Tea Tree and 613. I like them both and rotate them depending on the CC of the day.

RTM: FAS, 613, and Fig. I mostly use these as a second-day hair refresh. I still have to blow my hair dry. Perhaps it will be different in the summer. I also use the 613 as body spray/perfume sometimes. Smiley Happy

I'd like to add oils to my routine, but sometimes I worry about doing too much. My hair is in great condition and tends to grow fast. So, we'll see, I guess. Smiley Happy

Looking forward to the show this weekend!

POM doesn't work for my hair, but I agree that the scent is lovely! I am using the CC as body wash right now. Smiley Happy

Re: What Wen products do you use & which are your favorites?

My original post disappeared when I tried to edit it, so I'm reposting it.

ChynnaBlue, apologies for the confusion I created. You're right, Ojon is no longer selling a 100% Ojon Oil product. The new owner Estee Lauder has reformulated it along with everything else in the line.

The whole thing makes me so angry. When Denis Simione started the Ojon line with his ex-wife around 2004, it was based around this rare-harvest wild-crafted Amazonian Ojon oil. The local Indian tribes shared this with him and he always took great lengths to expound on how he would never change around this 500 year old formulation. This is what brought Ojon to the mainstream and it amazes me that Estee Lauder would play hard and fast with this reformulation. Maybe that's why Ojon sales have dropped by 25% since last year. *g*

At any rate, their customer service rep emailed me the ingredients listing for the two reformulated versions of the Damage reverse Hair Restorative Treatment. I've posted the ingredients listings below. The first listing is for the reformulation of the original formula which was the one I had always used. The second listing is for a tweaked "lighter scent" Plus version which I was never interested in (they watered down the amount of palm oil from the start replacing it with other "special", maybe less expensive ingredients).

The reformulated original version doesn't look too bad. Palm oil is still the main ingredient and it looks as though the other ingredients may there in relatively small quantities. I'll have to check the ingredients out to make sure it doesn't contain anything that would be problematic to the scalp.

Below are the ingredients listings...
