WHY ARE SO MANY VIDEOS NOT WORKING?

It can't be my computer because some videos work. Others won't work at all, or start and freeze very early on.

Please, please, please fix your web site! You are losing my business, cause if I can't watch videos, I'm not browsing for items.

Fix the zoom, too!

Something is drastically wrong that the web site is like this for so long.

A lot of the videos don't work for me, either, and then I get the "spinning beachball of death" on my Mac, and it closes out!!

They have a "spotlight on Tacori" thing on the homepage today, and at least one of the items they've picked out for that has a non-working video (the pin/pendant).

If they're going to feature particular items like that, you'd think they'd check that the video actually works.

Several of the Tacori videos are broken, it's not just that one. The 2ct bloom cut stud earrings one doesn't work either (but at least that's not in the highlighted section).

Given this website, the videos are often the least of it... Wink

But it's true. I tried repeatedly to watch a video last night for an item in which I was interested. The video itself barely worked (fits and starts) and the sound was totally managled. I tried three different browsers and two different computers, all to no avail. Needless to say, I didn't purchase the item... I don't suppose we'll ever really be able to access a fully functional website, so we might as well get used to it... In this instance, it was their loss.

I agree. I was watching a video and right through the middle it just freezes. Q needs to fix this.

That was happening to me when I was using Internet Explorer but they work fine with Google Chrome...I have to switch to GC when I come to QVC's web site...

I KNOW!! Thank you for posting this because I thought it was just my computer at work. Figured IT was messing with me again. Should have known--QVC has its gremlins at work agian.

onecent-I too use Google Chrome for everything, and there are fewer problems on the QVC website and videos-but where's the video PAUSE GONE???? Plus now all my reviews are MIA and I'm listed as "Anonymous-Top 25 Contributor". Naturally they said it would all be OK no later than 10/20/11 in the morning. NOPE!!! {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

It may just be time to take ALL my business downtown or to Boston! They many have no Easy Pay-but the selection is great, no videos are necessary, I can touch and feel everything, and there's no S&H~going 2-4 miles in-town costs less in gas...I get 45 mpg in-town! I know my local stores well, and they'd be delighted for the business. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

The videos will no longer allow me to fast forward through them either. I often just want to jump ahead to see a piece of jewelry on a model and not sit through the entire presentation.

I guess the Q *mandates* we watch the entire video every time. {#emotions_dlg.sneaky} Like you, I don't need to see each video 100% all the way through EACH and EVERY time. I may just want to see the item up close or the model. The phone rings, the doorbell chimes, and yes-sometimes "nature calls." {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I thought it was just my computer. This sounds silly, but I'm glad to know it's not just me. I am getting very tired of trying to watch videos that won't play, tired of looking at items then not being able to navigate back to the category search, being told all the time that this or that page is not available. This has been going on for a long time. Why doesn't somone fix these problems. Hey Q!! you are losing customers. When this happens to me I switch to HSN and truthfully you get better pay options with HSN than you ever do on Q. I compared two jewelry presentations on the same day on Q (23 items) and HSN (24 items). Every item on the HSN show had multiple payments, from 4 to 6; on Q only 8 of the 23 items had easy pay but only 2 easy pays. I'm convinced the people who run QVC have no concept of what is going on with the economy, but I digress. HEY Q, FIX YOUR WEBSITE OR I WILL SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Geez...ty so much for posting that and seeing the responses. I thought there was something wrong with my computer. Some videos work ...some dont. I use internet explorer too. Now I know it is not just mine.

Just tonight I tried to watch a video and it never did play, so, QVC and TPTB, you lost a sale from me!

QVC's web site is getting worse. It is so slow it is ridiculous. Geez, Q, you raised your shipping prices, now, how about upgrading your system!

I appreciate the suggestion, but QVC is the one trying to make the sale. THEY should be the ones jumping through hoops, not me.
