Such a great actor.  I must admit, I didn't even recognize him in the role of Kevin Costner's father on Yellowstone until I looked to see who the actor was.

I did not hear that.  Oh, I really liked him.  I thought he was such a good actor and I found him to be very handsome, as well.  Sorry to learn this.

Always a favorite. I also liked him in the Simon Baker series, The Guardian, from about 20 years ago. RIP.

I was saddened to hear this news although he seems to have lived a long full life. I liked him in everything, he could play serious to funny and really well. I loved to "hate" him in 9 to 5. I hope he can rest in peace.

A small role in The Towering Inferno, 1974 as a fire department chief, before he really made it big in films:

I read an interview with him online amid all the obits where he said he grew his mustache in the early 1970's because he looked too much like [an unpopular political figure whom he named] and after that everything changed for him -- his career really took off.

Those of you who watch That Girl, as I do, on the nostalgia channels, might also remember him as the bespectacled Leon, husband of Ann's ditzy neighbor.
