I also recently learned when pickleball was invented.  I think I remember saying to my husband that it was a Kinder and gentler game of tennis.  

Back in the '70s my dad was a number one seed in tennis in the state of Texas in singles and doubles. My brother got into the sport but I just couldn't. Not even with the cute tennis clothes and shoes my mom bought for me. It was just entirely too hot in Texas to move that much and that fast!.  My sport of choice was horseback riding and competition.  If I had the choice to do anything I wanted to do before I died it would be to get back on a horse.

In school, I was into gymnastics.  After graduating, I ultimately became an advanced skier, and skiied black diamond slopes.

NEITHER are suitable now, as the arthritis hinders movement and both sports require the ability to precisely balance quickly in a multitude of positions.

I watch the Winter Olympics, but that's pretty much it.  As you can tell, I'm not a sports fan.

THanks for showing your interest in all the replies.  You must be a people person.  And that's a good thing.  To answer your question, presently I don't have a particular favorite, but yes I am a huge football fan.  End of July camp starts and I feel alive, best time of year.
