@Sammycat1 , the love and dedication that this precious family has is truly amazing. I will keep the three of you in my prayers, and hold you close to my heart, as you all do hard things.
Sending hope, light, and love. And the greatest of these is Love.

Monday report: Greetings to members of a wonderful family.
Frankie is improved today but not 100%. It appeared that increasing her thyroid meds to tamp down the effects of her hyperthyroidism pushed her liver--and kidneys--too hard (common complications). When we found her staggering about the living room early yesterday morning, we thought it was the end--as usually that behavior is.
But her Most Excellent Vet's adjustments appears to have brought the staggering, for now, to an end this morning. She is still a little weak but by this morning she was chattering at the bluebirds in her feeder again. This cat is one tough kitty fighter. She's weaker this evening, as expected.
One of her new novel protein foods, kangaroo, may have played a role, but it's not likely. All the more reason that we pray that we learn that Frankie is a candidate for the radioactive iodine procedure.
We'll find out next Tuesday at her consultation. If she is, she comes off the thyroid meds for a week first, then she goes through it. It's just an injection, but she must remain in isolation at the hospital for a week. We drop her off Monday and pick her up Friday. No visiting.
Your prayers mean the world to us and to her. This is a very, very tough time in her life. We both cried yesterday morning watching her stumble, thinking it could be her last day.
All of our prayers proved that thought wrong--for now. Thank you:

Your update was somewhat encouraging to me @Sammycat1.
Besides being Earth Day, it is also the first day of Passover--so a lot of prayers were said all around the world--I'm confident Frankie's Fan Club members' prayers were heard too-!

Tuesday report: Greetings to all Schmoosters.
God is indeed good. And so are your prayers. She is not staggering but she's not completely herself. However, she hid behind a storage tub under DH's desk early this morning--as she was in the days before the crisis.
We don't know now if this is due to a) lack of thyroid medicine--she started back on it, but later in the morning, b) a racing heart because she's been off the thyroid medicine for two days, which we had to do, or c) her new kangaroo food wreaking havoc after all.
It's maddening!
So we're working as best we can to keep her comfortable and ready for her trip to Maryland to see the radioactive iodine specialist. Her life is counting on it.
That's why she wants me sharp as a tack--notice her keeping an eye on me, below:

Wednesday report: Greetings to the Schmoo Family.
Frankie still a little rickety but with us. Connecting all the dots between her animal hospital and the referral one we're traveling to this coming Tuesday for her consult on the radioactive iodine procedure.
There was a ruckus yesterday because her radiologist told us she was in heart failure (!) but her vet said she was not. I hit the roof because of the inconsistency. Heart failure would rule her out for this procedure because she would be deemed "medically unstable." I still kind of think she is, but the referral vet will make that call.
Talk about stress.
Today she is our home office supervisor again. I thought you'd enjoy this picture of her very hard at work:
