I have a poem in my desk drawer that my mother gave me.  I think when my daughter ws born.  Children Learn What They Live by Dorothy Law Nolte.  I've always tried to keep that in mind in raising my daughter.

@ScrapHappy I know that one and it's so true. I know DH and I aren't perfect, we made our share of mistakes in raising our kids - too strict on some things, too lenient on others, responding badly out of frustration sometimes when first taking a minute would have been a better idea, etc.. In watching our DS and DDIL maneuver their way through parenting we see the usual things that we've all faced with infants and toddlers.  But more than anything, we see how happy, secure, and confident our little DGD is and know they've done that part right,

Most of the time.  Peer pressure can step in and be a tough challenge.
