This is kind of spinoff of the House Hunters question. But when you enter someone's home, what do you notice? What is your eye drawn to?

My eye is drawn to style of furniture and color. I am a big color person. And I go for comfort. I'm saying that because it doesn't matter to me personally about the granite counter tops, etc. What are your drawn to?

Decorating style, cleanliness and scent.

If I were going into a home for the first time, I would first take in the aroma of the home, (good smells, bad smells) secondly clutter or the lack of - how much open space is there, floor space, counter space, island space, coffee table space, etc.

Actually my first sense walking in is smell, as weird as that sound...what does it smell like? Careful when I start looking around, cause I was raised with a Mother who was an interior designer and I am rather particular...

Smells....I notice smells....the house could be in total shambles and if it has a clean smell that's fine but if it has a smelly/repulsive odor then even a orderly house won't smell inviting to me.

How funny so many are saying scents - I am very sensitive to certain odors.

I'm a neat and clean freak. I notice whether or not a home is tidy and whether it appears clean.

I forgot about odors.

ITA on the same. A house can look neat but still smell like a trash can or ashtray.
