Yes...and there is also pet odors, foot odors, sweaty odors, musty odors, or just plain stale old smells.....sometimes it's the things that get cooked and the smells get into carpeting, upholstery, and draperies..

I had a mini meltdown when I came to work yesterday because someone (well, one of the partners ) came in over the weekend to install some new fax/scanner/copier equipment and messed up stuff on my desk.

I told the office manager about it as soon as I got in (by Instant Message, she is in another state) and she said, Oh my, he will get a memo - everybody knows you always keep a neat, clean desk.

I said, Indeed they do!

And I am burning a vanilla sugar cookie candle on said desk as we speak.

ETA, No, I did not really meltdown, and yes he will get a memo. We are all family here and he will take it as a joke. Which it is, kinda.

Clean and neat, if it smells ........... I think that would hit you in face, you wouldn't have to notice it, LOL!

Actually many people don't smell the odors in their own home. People say, nobody can even tell we smoke, we have pets, etc.

Definitely scent. I am the same way when we stay in hotels. If it doesn't smell fresh and clean...I am outta there.
