Wen gallons - for those new to Wen, there are kits & TSVs that are equally cost effective

When I read a recent post from a newbie, I realized the discussions about purchasing your gallon before it has sold out may have led to a sort of feeding frenzy for first time Wenners. In particular, I know I've had my hand in providing updated information on gallon stock still available. Some Wen newbies may be thinking they've got to get their hands on a gallon before they all go *poof* until next June...

Well, for all you newbies, now is the time to take a big old meditative breathe.

The gallons are great for convenience and they do save you on S&H charges, but there are other equally good Wen values out there.

Instead of taking the gallon plunge, you could try out Wen by Chaz Dean 4-pc. Deluxe Cleansing Conditioner Set (A217139) that includes a 16oz. bottle of each of the Tea Tree, Lavender, Sweet Almond Mint & Pomegranate. It's $84 plus $8.97 S&H. With shipping, if you do the math, ounce for ounce it is almost exactly the same cost as a gallon: the total cost of two 4-piece 16oz. CC sets is $186 versus $185 for a gallon. This option gives you a great introduction to four core CCs without having to make a huge commitment to one particular CC. This way, if you're don't like a particular scent, then you haven't plunked down a huge amount of money on it.

Additionally, Wen has three annual TSVs which always seem to include a core 32oz. CC (i.e. SAM, TT, LAV, FIG, POM or CA) in addition to other Wen products. The Wen TSVs slash the list costs by over 50%. The three TSVs come out in: 1) late august or early september 2) mid-December, and 3) march or april. I have a thread on the first page titled Wen TSVs going back to December 2010. This information can help you figure out what you are likely to be able to buy in TSVs that are scheduled for various times of the year. The December TSV always seems to feature five (5) 16oz. Cleansing Conditioners and is likely to be priced at around $80.

I hope this information is helpful.
