A665097 philosophy 64 ounce shower gel now sulfate free!!

[ Edited ]

Sale price is 49.98. New Formula! free shipping

Edited to add.

There is also a new 32 ounce called Mango Tango ice cream ( now I cannot get that Wango Tango song out of my head). And July is philosophy's 25 th anniversary so there should be some great sale prices and free shipping coming up.

Edited again - this was originally presented and detailed in the item description as SULFATE FREE. Several posters have pointed out that it is NOT sulfate free and QVC has now changed some of the item descriptions here and on air to "hydrating formula".  I am mad, more at myself as I should have read the ingredient deck before ordering. I've returned the white cherry that I ordered and contacted QVC customer service so that I don't get charged for the return shipping. Lesson learned.

They have not changed some descriptions - item a655398

"Enjoy a carefree summer with philosophy's upgraded sulfate-free hydrating shower gel duo, formulated with a unique skin-hugging complex all while keeping the iconic philosophy bubbles everyone loves. It's your ultra-creamy gel for cleansing, soothing, and comforting dry skin while transporting you to the most carefree summer escapes!"

Re: A665097 philosophy 64 ounce shower gel now sulfate free!!

I posted about this yesterday in the Beauty Forum. this new formula is NOT sulfate free, it uses a milder form of the sulfates they used to use, and I also read that this milder form may still not be gentle enough for color treated hair. And they are still using the artificial dyes, so all in all, not a major improvement.

@Shelbelle  I agree ,  I have never used as a shampoo because of the sulfates .  Pay too much for color, highlights to ruin them .  I do however love as a body wash and handwashing.    I heard yesterday during presentation that they are now sulfate free ,  if not totally how can she say it is I wonder .

I saw the presentation this afternoon with Mari Lyn and Pat, they never said it is sulfate free, nor is that on the bottle, all they said is that it now contains more hydrators than before. If you look up the key ingredient after water, a long name, it is a sulfate but it has a milder formula than before. And I did read that this kind of sulfate may still not be kind to colored treated hair. if anyone is calling it sulfate free, Q lawyers had best be careful.

@Shelbelle See my edited post. They did present this as sulfate free on air and still have it listed as sulfate free for the item I quoted. They have changed the presentations and some descriptions but not all.

Today Pat and Mari Lyn made no mention of the sulfates. This is very confusing to customers. Which is why I did the ingredient check right away and reported what I found. There are so many good sulfate free brands out there, a shame to deal with this confusion. And, for me I still would not buy anymore due to the dyes in there. I really do respect your loyalty to the brand, but I gave up on these long ago, I still am a fan of some of the fragrances. And I still say that WHINE is a very good product.

@Tissyanne Hi! I saw that presentation too! She clearly stated sulfate free.🤔

I returned the bottle I bought. I really don't need any more shower gels and promised myself I wouldn't buy any for awhile, but I got caught up in the sulfate free statement hype and wanted to try it. I'll wait to see what shakes out on this issue and to see reviews of the new formula. Between now and the holidays there will be lots of special pricing and free shipping offers.

Last night they presented a 6 pack of the liter sizes. They promoted them as sulfate free, but today I read the ingredients posted on the Q product page and all contain some kinds of sulfates, including sodium laureth sulfate how confusing is this ?

@FlyersGirl , Ali Carr just said during the presentation of the 64 ounce that they are now sulfate free. I wonder if QVC even knows this is not correct.
