Ensure Plus is really hard to find from Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Publix, Amazon Fresh, Target, Abbott's website, when sold directly from these retailers. This is in short supply both online and in store. The Milk Chocolate sold out first. The other flavors then followed. I've been looking for three or four weeks.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the baby formula shortage. Maybe Abbott is pulling workers away from Ensure production to help with the formula production. I really don't know. I don't even know if the products are made in the same plants.

There are some other types of Ensure available. Ensure Original is also in short supply. There seems to be some Ensure with fiber available and a few of the other types. Ensure with proteins is available.

Yes there are other sellers with product on Amazon and Walmart, but who knows what you're getting with these companies. I'd really prefer to get the product direct from the stores. I've been checking through the reviews to see if I find something.

I noticed Sams this week was low on most of their protein drinks. Also I read contact solution will have shortages.

For RTD after the gym, I usually like Muscle Milk. Better nutrition, better protein.

There's far better brands than Ensure.

My husband likes the Fairlife Nutrition Plan shakes.

I don't know of anyone that was ever able to finish a multi-pak of Ensure or Boost.

Because of healrh issues I've been consuming some protein drinks but not ones having that much protein. 30g seems like a lot. Do you know if there's any harm in taking in that much protein at once?

@Mindy D   Maybe in your neck of the woods but not mine.  I drink the kind that Iwantcoffee posted.  I get mine from BJ's in store.  They never have shortages of anything!

I just checked the online store.  All Ensure flavors are "in stock."

I do find, just because an item is "out of stock" online it is NOT "in store."

How much protein is considered too much?
The ideal amount of protein you should consume each day is a bit uncertain. Commonly quoted recommendations are 56 grams/day for men, 46 grams/day for women. You could get 46 grams/day of protein in 1 serving of low-fat greek yogurt, a 4 oz. serving of lean chicken breast and a bowl of cereal with skim milk
