I am not getting the impression you have had the best outcome from your procedures, and feel you are in a situation where you just have to give your body time to heal. My guess is that will take as long as 6 months. Possibly at that time the Dr can determine exactly where you are, where you need to be, and what to do next.
I also do not get the impression you have much experience dealing with doctors, medical issues, and the way things work, since you are not aware of the type of changes that would be reason to contact the doctor. I think your questions, are targeted towards a clear, precise answer. If you still have inflammation, irritation, and healing going on in the eye, no one can tell you the final outcome until those delicate tissues are healed and look normal. Again, your Dr is young and inexperienced, but he is wise enough not to open his mouth and say anything beyond actual facts.

i have had numerous medical experiences and i know that it can take time for a body to heal properly. i am also aware that no dr can give an outcome 100% but i feel that i have had no input into my care and that my questions have not been addressed properly. i still do not know just how bad the detachment was or how much progress has been made in regards to healing. it is take pictures, look at them andthen tell me to come back in a month. i don't know if my eye is really healing at agood rate or notor even just how much healing has taken place. i guess i just want honest answeres like here's where it was last month, this much healing has taken place, i expect this is where it should be or it isn't making the progess he expected.
i do not him to tell me 6 months, a year or maybe never . i feel tha ti am left in limbo.

I hope you are seeing a board certified opthalmologist...or ophthalmic surgeon.there are a lot of sub-specialties now in the field of eye care....you need someone with experience who can answer your questions....I just changed my pcp because he kept his eyes glued to his iPad instead of me, his patient. He also had no interest in answering questions, You are your own best advocate. I hope you find just the right doctor!
