@Steffdoggy10 --I did try that med and it didn't work for me---made me too groggy in the a.m. no matter how little I took of it. Did try it for a few weeks----

@JFD12 ---the one med that did help was Ambien--I took just a very small amount and it worked very well--took it for a few years--had no weird side effects like eating or driving while on it and not remembering --but it stopped working about the time I was dx with breast cancer--but the others I have tried--didn't do anything for me. Insomnia is a vicious beast!!!

Absolutely works for me too! I limit it to 1 pill twice a week to get a great night's sleep. It is highly addictive and I don't want that to happen, plus my doctor monitors my use very carefully! Reva

Three recommendations for you, @wagirl -

1. If you have a Smart Meter on your home, either switch it out to an old analog meter if you are permitted to do so in your state, or purchase a Faraday cage to fit your Smart Meter to greatly diminish the EMF emitted from it.

2. If you have a Smart TV, actually unplug the TV before bedtime, as allegedly, it still emits radiation when turned off. You may be EMF sensitive.

3. Give Chamomile tea a try before bedtime. It is very relaxing to drink a mug of it.

I have a Fitbit. Never wear it to bed. Not interested in seeing if i sleep or not. I know I do. Just use it to see how many miles a day I get in. Woman Happy

@Jersey Born --I have no idea what the first thing in your list is---I live in an apartment --yes I do have a smart tv in my bedroom. Will need to research such a thing tho. And no I don't drink tea often altho I do like it--but especially at bedtime--that would make me have to use to the bathroom---and an extra wake up WHEN I do sleep is not ideal. thanks for the ideas!

Re: tracking my sleep

[ Edited ]

@wagirl - A Smart Meter is either a stand-alone, circular shaped, electricity meter reader attached to a home, or it can be an entire bank of electricity meters placed together in a single location for an apartment complex. As you live in an apartment, is there a grouping of electric meters on the outside or inside of your apartment unit building, or is there a group of electric meters placed together somewehre separate from the outside apartment wall/building f(or on the inside of your building as depicted below) or your unit? An electric meter is used by utility workers to bill you for your personal electric consumption in your apartment.

Here is one such image of a group of Smart Meters, which give a digital readout: Note the rectangular digital readout section inside of each circular, plastic-encased meter.

:There is a video of Smart TVs emitting a lot of radiation even after they are turned off in a Youtube entitled "

Smart TVs emit high EMF radiation, even when turned off"

Oh, and you can try a cup of chamomile without sugar at about 7 pm, rather than immediately prior to bedtime, so there will be no chance a full bladder might wake you up in the middle of the night. That's what I do.

r/electricians - My apartment is the wall over a large electric room with lots smart meters. I sleep just a few feet away from it. See photos. How safe is this?

@wagirl  So sorry to hear this. I can't even begin to tell you about my experience with Ambien among family members, including my hubby! Eek!!! lol! And my older sisters who have taken it, all in the medical field and have stopped!  Yes, I have also had breast cancer, which does not run in my family. I wish the best sleep for you! 💚 😴 🙏

@JFD12 --Like I said, I had no problems with taking ambien--at all-- and I only took maybe 1/2 of a tablet. No getting up and eating or driving or ordering stuff online--just made me sleep---and no funky after effects in the morning. Then it just stopped working. I didn't think to take a biger amount either. But I am doing some things now to help,  including using a smart ring instead of my apple watch--to record my sleep--only been a few days but the results are pretty amazing. We'll see!

Just a little update-----I've been wearing a smart ring to track my sleep for the last week--not that one that is hundreds of $$ but one that has good reviews and alot less $$ and it's amazing how much sleep I guess I am getting----alot more than what I feel I get---so I figured out my apple watch and decided to wear that as well--at the same time as the ring---and am really amazed at how close those 2 are in tracking my sleep--within a few minutes of each other. And the watch info tells me I get alot more sleep too--so WHY don't I feel like I am rested ??? Just a rhetorical question----wonder who I ask about all this--went to a dr at a sleep clinic --maybe I need to see her again?? This sleep thing------is like catching a unicorn-------Woman Embarassed
