@tansy, just wondering how well the cbd cream is working for you; if I recall, you got the level 4.  I was hoping for a review from you as I'd like to order some but wanted to know how it was working for you since we share the same problem.

Hope you are doing well.

Thanks.

I keep falling asleep before my soccer crazy husband comes to bed, @HisElk1, so I haven’t had a chance to give it a good try.  The one night he did rub it in for me I wasn’t too impressed.

Sorry.  I didn’t forget about you but just didn’t have anything solid to report🙁

Out of curiosity were you put on a bone med?  I have a consultation coming up with an oral surgeon and my endocrinologist regarding the meds.  So many scary side effects☹️

@tansy, I was getting concerned about you because I didn't see any posts from you in awhile; of course, maybe I wasn't reading some threads you posted in.

Sounds like you didn't get much of a "good try" with it; I don't know much about it so maybe it needs to applied each day to get any relief?  Not sure.

Regarding the bone med, no, I have not and I'm not very knowledgeable about them or their names.  I do have an appointment with the ortho surgeon on 7/3 for a checkup to see how I'm doing.  Since the surgery, I haven't been up and about as much as before the fall and I've noticed my left knee kind of does this "twinge" feeling; not every day, but enough to ask him to do an xray while I'm there and check it out.  That's why I was considering the cbd cream since it comes in 5 different strengths.

Were you prescribed a bone med?  Like I said, I don't know anything about them.  Are your appointments coming up soon?

I will admit to being depressed, @HisElk1.   I am trying to take a break from the news and from the internet, including here.  I’m so scared of falling again...not sure how to shake that fear off.

I grew up in the 50s and 60s and had so many cavities and fillings.  As an adult I have had extractions and several crowns so the jaw issues associated with the bone meds are a real concern to my present dentist.  That appt is in two weeks.  A few weeks after that is a DEXA scan.  Years ago I was diagnosed with osteopenia, which I’m sure has morphed into osteoporosis.  In August I will see the endocrinologist for my thyroid issues, diabetes and to discuss what my best options are regarding the bones.

I am expecting the adjustable bed to arrive next week — can’t wait🙂

Are you doing better with getting your arm arm behind your back? Are you still seeing a PT?  I hope your knee twinge is not serious.

Believe me, I understand about you feeling down @tansy.  I'm glad, though you saw my notification because I was concerned for you, not that I can do anything about it (none of us here can), but still concerned.

As for the fear of falling, yep, I totally 100% understand.  When I fell late October, I was trying to get out of someone's way walking toward me.  My ankle twisted to the right and down I went; not like I was dizzy or lightheaded.  Of course, he didn't fall and stopped to help, but still I learned a lesson.  These days not everyone walking around is paying attention to where they're walking (some looking down at their cell phone).

I'm sorry to hear about the diagnosis of ostenopenia and the problems you had with your teeth, etc.  That certainly doesn't help and understand your concern along with the dentist, etc. Please post (if you don't mind) about your upcoming in 2 weeks; if not, I do understand.

I'm pretty darn sure you'll love your adjustable bed; it made a huge difference for me.  I find that I adjust mine once or twice during the night after I go to the potty LOL.

I'm still faithfully going for PT twice a week and only wish I had found this PT woman back in the winter.  She is fabulous.  I started with her mid May, she did measurements and just yesterday did them again (will do a report for my 7/3 checkup with surgeon) and my numbers are really getting much better.  However, the exception is getting my arm behind my back Smiley Sad.  She needs to help me with that and because it's affected my whole arm, and wrist, radius, ulna, etc., it's very difficult and yes, painful when she does it.

Where I previously went, I was given 1/2 hour and neither of the young girls (26 and 30) really didn't do much other than stretch and give me exercises while they spent time typing, ugh.

I now get an hour of PT without interruption (wasn't like that at the previous place) and her phone is put on silent, so I have her full attention.

Sorry for the long rant (I'm too detailed, I know).  DH says I write like I talk LOL

@HisElk1  I just spent my first night in the adjustable bed.  Love the frame and zero gravity; not quite as enthusiastic about my mattress choice but I have 120 days to make a decision on it.

While I chose the rub in Level Four due to the cost, instead of Level Five, I am not having the pain relief that sfnative experienced.

@tansy, woohoo! glad to hear you love the adjustable frame; I don't recall what brand name of mattress you purchased, but since you have a the 120 day trial, that's a good thing.

As for the rub you chose (I understand the cost factor as I saw their prices), I am not happy about the lack of pain relief you have experienced.

Are you using it on your shoulder(s)? and other areas?  I posted an update on my shoulder exam in the thread that 'highmaintenance' started if you care to read.

I will say, though, he did ask me about the reaching behind my back and I showed him what I could do; he agreed that it is the worst and last one to be able to work like it used to.

I also had him do some xrays of my left knee (been having some slight pain in it since about last 2 months).  He found nothing wrong, examined them thoroughly and felt nothing wrong, so while that's good news, still not sure what's going on.  And no arthritis showed up either.  That's one of the reasons I wanted to buy that cream.

So good to 'hear' from you and thanks for all of the help you have given to me.
