Has anyone had a routine lypoma (sp) removed from their stomach/intestinal wall? What is the procedure, healing time, pain level, time away from work, cost?

These are questions you need to discuss wiht your doctor! That person can explain the procedure, healing time and discuss all your questions with you.
Have you not discussed them with her/him?

I had an initial consultation with a surgeon over a year ago. He said he would remove it if it bothered me looks wise but no problem otherwise. Just getting opinions from others who have had this done.

While the stomach area may be different, my friend has lypomas on her upper arms and was told by two specialists that removal is not recommended. They have a tendency to grow back and the costs are high to remove and not covered by insurance. They are very visible resulting in her covering her upper arms with longer sleeves.

Ever watch Dr Piimple Popper on TLC, she is an expert in removing lypomas, any size, any place on the body.

Go back to the doctor you had the consult with and ask him all those question. You don't have to actually have surgery. Tell him you are considering it and you have questions. He won't be able to give you his cost estimate. He won't be able to give you an estimate of hospital charges either. It's surgery, it's not like getting quotes for a new roof.

Okay, what is a lipoma. I have never seen one on arms. I will go look this up, but not sure what they look like

OP, please make sure it is a lipoma and not a hernia - I have an umbilical hernia, and it looks just like a lipoma.

A lipoma on your arm can be a small bump that over time grows bigger and bigger - it is basically a "sack under the skin filled with fat cells".
Like someone else mentioned - watch Dr. Sandra Lee on TLC show called Dr. Pimple Popper - she deals with these daily and people can have them grow anywhere on their body.

I had a lypoma on my back, up by my shoulder blades, that ruptured on its own.
I squeezed all the gross stuff out, and so far, it hasn't returned.
Yes, I dd see my doctor about it pre-rupture, and he wasn't concerned about it., so I let it be, until it opened on its own.
