~ start the synvisc injections Thursday ~

Hi all. This Thursday my Orthopedist will be starting the series of 5 synvisc injections in the area of the knee where the meniscus is pretty much gone. I really hope these work because this pain is really discouraging. Question ..... I've had cortisone shots - do the synvisc shots hurt more? How long will it be til I notice any difference?
