Hi all .... one thing I found out pre-surgery (TKR) was that my feet tend to pronate inwards. I had orthotics custom made, but now I can't wear any of my shoes, unless they're ones that you can take out the inside sole. I have a pair of asics athletic shoes that work (took out the inside), but otherwise, I have very little. So, as a result, I rarely wear the orthotics.
This is discouraging as I can't afford to buy all new shoes and I wouldn't really want to. And then to find ones whose inner soul comes out .... well, it's tough.
I know I need to be wearing them, especially after my TKR, but this is a real problem for me .... I can't wear my asics all the time ...... I'm a real sandal wearer in warm weather.
Any input from anyone who has this problem and maybe found a solution?
Thanks, abby
