Hope you get reassuring news from the doctor.
I have had one for a while now. Used to have MRIs with contrast pretty frequently. Now it seems to be not growing so much.
It can be amusing to hear about its stalk/neck. Makes me thing of a flower in the wind.
The type of surgery/treatment seems to depend on location, size and patients ability to have it. Make sure you gather data for your choice.
Mine is deep and my surgery would involve cutting my scull. So not happening.

@patbz wrote:@Shelbelle : Where are these aneurysms that are clipped by going thorough the groin? Sounds more like they are abdominal aneurysms rather than in the brain.
I know 2 people who had brain aneurysms clipped by going thur the groin. Both were sent home from hospital next day.

Oh my goodness, you are so welcome!
What a shocker that must have been to learn!
I'm so happy that you went to the doctor and got it checked out...thank you for doing that.![]()
I'm very hopeful after hearing others experiences with aneurysms that everything will turn out just fine. Please keep us updated.

I have that loud pulse noise in my head as well. My MRI/MRA did not show any signs of an aneurysm so I don't have any answer yet. I have been referred to a neurologist and boy, do they want lots of test results before they will make an appointment.
And I just found out today that my atrial flutter is back after having had an ablation for it 3 years ago.
This getting old sux.

It's so hard treading through medical appointments and tests.
It's especially difficult when the problem isn't obvious and a lot of times it seems that doctors are just grasping at straws...
And yes! Growing old can be a pain!
I wish you well and I hope they figure out what's going on or at least that what's going on is benign.
Take care.
