Oh my, having those health problems and not having an exact diagnosis sounds like a terribly scary situation. Many prayers for Barb and all of you Heart

(Just wanted to add that my BFF's son had a liver transplant and I'm pretty sure it was at that same IU hospital (he had Crohn's Disease and had a terrible reaction to a investigational medication). My BFF thought that the hospital was wonderful and they took great care of him. So it sounds to me like Barb is in the best place to be checked out and I hope she has the same good outcome).

@jubilant - I will pray for answers and healing for Barb, for comfort knowing prayers are being lifted for her husband and daughters, and for strength and comfort for you, her good friend. You are blessed to have each other. I believe in the power of prayer!

@jubilant I will absolutely pray for all of you.  It is difficult when relatives are far away, when doctors are puzzled and the path is not clear.  I will ask for help, understanding, and healing, along with assurance and comfort.  Blessings to all who care about Barb.

So sorry to read about your friend!  I hope they find out what is wrong and can give her the treatment that she needs!  You are a good friend and neighbor and they are blessed to have you.  I am wishing her, the family and you all the best!

My next door neighbor for 30 yrs. became sick 3 weeks ago. In those 3 weeks they could not find out what was wrong with her. She was in and out of the hospital. She seemed to be getting better. Then another ambulance run to the hospital. She is one of the healthiest women I have ever known with hardly any sickness.  They took her 2 hrs. away to the Indiana University Hostpital in Indianapolis hoping for a diagnosis.  She now has blood clots and is having mini strokes and has been put on kidney dialysis as the kidneys are not functioning properly.

She is only 76 yrs. old.  Her husband is 87 and hasn't been well at all.  We and another friend/neighbor are keeping an eye out for him till his one daughter gets here from another state.  There is another daughter that lives close but she has been with her mother in Indy.

I would greatly appreciate your prayers for her as they still don't know what has caused all this.  She had seemed to  be to getting better...we even took a walk together in our addition 2 days before this last episode.  It's been so puzzling. Her name is Barb.

So sorry your neighbor is going through this....

she is 76...and at that age you give thanks for each day...nothing is guaranteed. after the age of 65, we all have one foot in the grave so to speak.

Sending my best wishes and hopes for a resolution for your friend Barb.  I do believe in the power of prayer.  I also pray for her family and for the medical staff treating her.
